As one of the world leading manufacturers of life-saving equipment, Fassmer has always been committed to the highest possible safety standards, and all of our products reflect this commitment. In addition, our qualified service engineers are available for regular maintenance, repair and training of crew members to help operators of vessels maintain these standards. With the new SOLAS regulations MSC/circ. 1206 periodic servicing and maintenance of Lifeboats, release gears, davits and winches have become mandatory.
Fassmer Singapore Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Fassmer group, has established a Safety Management System to ensure that all work is conducted according to the rules. Only persons trained and authorized by Fassmer are allowed to do the work and sign the report which leads to the issue of the mandatory Certificate of Serviceability.

  • Repairs and Refits: Fassmer is able to carry out any refurbishment on lifeboats, davits and deck equipment at any place in the world through its highly qualified Fassmer service engineers.
  • No-worry package: Our customers can profit from Fassmer competence in an all-inclusive package including project management, installation, commissioning and testing.
  • Rehooking: Customers can rehook their non-Fassmer lifeboats in a safe way by installing the "fail safe" Fassmer Duplex Release System.
  • Original spare parts: Fassmer will provide the correct and suitable spare part quickly.
  • Comfortable online support: Customers can obtain all information, news, checklists and time sheets online.
  • Continuing studies: For further optimization Fassmer works with a differentiated monitoring, evaluation and studies system.

    Fleet/Vessel Service Agreements

    Some of our customers have a worldwide operating fleet with lifeboats and rescue boats, davits and deck equipment from different manufacturers. We can also take care of their complete lifesaving equipment including checking and keeping the service inspection dates and arranging the best and most economical place for the service. And the major benefit for you: This can be covered with only one contact person here at Fassmer Service.

They are trained according to the highest Fassmer quality level and SOLAS regulations.

Rehooking or Upgrading?

We make your lifeboats compliant acc. to the IMO regulations

The new Fassmer Duplex E2 release and retrieval systems are tested and approved. They are certified as exceeding the requirements listed in the IMO regulations MSC 320 (89) and MSC 321 (89). 

Fassmer Service takes over all necessary steps to make your lifeboat compliant according to the new IMO regulations: 

1. Upgrading/Modification of existing Fassmer Hooks (release and retrieval systems) 
2. Rehooking of non-Fassmer lifeboats including pre-inspection, calculating and engineering of foundation, certification by class authorities and finally the operations planning of material logistics and service engineers. Everything in close contact with you.
